This page covers my recent publications, interviews and speaking appearances over the last few years. I consider myself fortunate to be in a position to contribute something to the hobby beyond the actual breeding of snakes. This page will be updated as needed with future publications etc as needed. I currently working on additional writings and conducting research.
“Paradoxism” HerpNation Magazine, Volume 2 #5. This article is a science based explanation for the paradox phenomenon and details several of the developmental anomalies that can lead to this condition(s). Thought the concepts discussed in the article can be complex, the goal was to present the information in such a way as to make it accessible to most herpers.
“The Complete Carpet Python” This book (written with Dr. J Julander) is the most comprehensive ever written on the carpet python complex and covers just about every aspect of their natural history, captive care and breeding. It was a long process, taking two years to complete but an enjoyable experience as well. I am very pleased with the outcome and feel honored to have had the chance to have been a part of it.
“A Paradigm Shift in Herpetoculture” HerpNation Magazine, Volume 1 #3. This was a short opinion piece in the magazines “Viewpoint” section. It is a discussion of the shifting priorities and dynamics of herpetoculture (for better or worse) from the perspective of someone who has watched it transpire.
Over the last few years I have been asked to appear numerous times of reptile themed radio shows. The topics of these interviews vary.

My Co-Author and I are excited to announce the release of the greatly expanded second edition of The Complete Carpet Python.
After quite a bit of work, I have now made most of my lineage records from 2022 available on this website. Lineages are recorded in the form of family trees' for each clutch produced in a given year. This is without a doubt the largest such repository of lineage information on carpet pythons online and it is my hope that this effort will raise the bar for record keeping within this species group. Have a look and tell me what you think.
